depending on how often you WFP and how much work you have… make sure you think about it wisely … i have a CLX its ok for 1 and second floors… but when fully collapsed and your doing ground floor its a no no no go its just too damn heavy . and even more so when your working at an angle wether ground floor or at height !!!
!.. so depending on your height and all the other factors… makes sure you think wisely because unlike what people say WFPing at height is quite hard work and even more work at ground floor with a collapsed telescope ( 27 footer and above )…and the better lighter stiffer the pole the better for you and your performance …
for ground floor you need a separate single pole or a pole that is capable of being modular and telescopic ( for example reach it ) or just modular… also in the equation is when you get just modular it will be tricky fixing an aquadaptor because these are designed with the hose running through the pole and not on the outside … and IMO an Aquadaptor is an essential piece of kit…
The unger Hi flo … do you mean the green one ( fiber glass ?? )… would not bother with that … have a talk with John lee or someone who has tried all the poles out. or you could go buy carp fishing put over poles these are the very light and ideal for 1 & second floor work. there is nothing lighter than those …
So after reading all your great and informative responses and messaging with John i’ve narrowed it down to the Unger Nlite22 $499 or the Ettorre 35’ Aquaclean!
I’m leaning towards the Aquaclean as it will provide me with the reach that i wanted and is right at the top of my budget. Although I really like the Nlite but with the added $250 to get the 11’ extension to give me 33’ it’s a tad outta my budget.
The good thing about Nlite, you can make it longer, just add section, without buying new pole. I wish they were available when i was buying mine. Few more bucks shouldn’t be big deal, especially if you can make $100+/h with it
The Reach-it Pro has the same capabilities, and at their price point, would definitely be worth looking into. I know Perry (the owner of Reach-it) personally, and he is brilliant and they provide excellent customer support and really listen to user feedback. (He does NOT pay me to say this.)
For those reasons, my next WFP will be the Reach-it Pro.
I agree. If i was on the market for one. That would be my choices, Nlite and Reach-it. I really like the idea of sectional and telescopic in one pole. I kind of wonder if anybody will compare them side by side. That would be interesting
Welcome to WCR. All the comments that have been made are very helpful and some very good advice. I have been using a wfp for almost 30 years starting with a aluminum pole. For the price you want to spend the only full carbon pole you can get is the Reach It Mini 599.00
