The Cavalry 1939-1945 by Janusz Piekalwicz
Edge of the Abyss edited by Brandon Rospond
It Worked for Me In Life and Leadership by Colin Powell
The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien

Great reading list! I’ve read most on your list except $600/hour (can’t find it either) Currently reading E-Myth Mastery. I enjoyed E-Myth Revisited, had to check this one out as well. Next one on the shelf is The Intelligent Investor.

Are you reading all these simultaneously?

Yes. I finished reading “Edge of the Abyss” but most of the other books are slow reads.

Recently : ITS OK THAT YOU ARE NOT OK ( A book about grief when someone you love dies).

Books That I have read and recommend:

The Millionaire Next Door
The Total Money Makeover
Who Moved My Cheese
QBQ ( The Question Behind the Question )

Good stuff!

Ive read and listened to a number of books on business sales etc. 4 hr workweek is good and so is $600/hr. I like how to books that have practical application.

This year i’m sure i’l read and listen to more business books, but what i’m learning is that Ive got more knowledge than application for that knowledge, because I inadervatly and subconsciously thought that having more knowledge would make the difficult and unpleasant parts of my business magically easier… ha! This year my main focus will be to read the Bible more and rely more on my relationship with Christ as the greater partner in this business, asking him questions and for direction. My goal will be to seek him above my own inclinations for direction and specific strategies. Best of luck to ya man! I’m not saying to not read those books, looks like a great list.

@WDW my mom died in 2015 (I’d just turned 20 yr old). How was it’s ok to not be ok?

This year I’ve read:
Home service millionaire
The death of cool
Nutrition your way
12 rules to life (currently reading)

I’m just finishing this up. Lots of good business stuff built in. But mostly about human nature and why people do the things they do. Sorta disturbing but worth reading for sure.

Years past I would try and crank out a book a week but I’m planning on slowing down and only do 2 a month this year.

I want to absorb more and not just crank through them.

Just started rich dad poor dad , should finish this coming week . I’m going to re-read millionaire next door next

Profit First is one of the best books I’ve read and actually applied to my business.

I’m in the middle of the Beastie Boys book now. Haha!

Because you asked,
currently reading iGen by Jean Twenge about the current generation of smartphone enabled kids and what that means for our future. If you are a parent of a tween/teen you’d probably find this very interesting.

But THE most influential books that helped cultivate my window cleaning business philosophy and success are:
The Ecology of Commerce by Paul Hawken, Natural Capitalism also by Paul, Let My People Go Surfing by Yvonne Chouinard, and Deep Economy by Bill McKibben. Shout out to Kevin Dubrosky for 600hr and good luck finding a copy!

Does anyone have a copy of $600/hour? I’d prefer to purchase a copy, can’t find one anywhere on the internet.

I finally got the whale vomit method and finished it in a few days.

I’ll even pay just borrow $600/hour in order to read and take notes on and send it back to you.

I’m actually looking for a copy for my self , I also have whale vomit . Many say it’s very similar

@frozone amen :pray:

The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe
Accounts Demystified by Antony Rice
Seeing Like a State by James C. Scott

The New Sun is incredible. The format is confusing because it is 4 books in 2 volumes. It’s one of those books which is like War and Peace or the Bible. It is not easy to read - you have to be an active reader or you will have no idea what is happening but it is very rewarding and expresses ideas I’ve never seen anywhere else.

Sounds like a calvy book. Who’s it written by?

for October I’ve read:
The alchemist
Richest Man in Babylon
How to win friends and influence people
4hr work week

I just picked up
Educated: a memoir
and will be working through an inorganic chemistry book after that- not nearly as excited for that. it’ll likely take 2 months
