So we have this one main street on lock down. Yesterday was one of its service days and a lot of the owners gave us the attached fliers you see.
Apparently this new company went in cut our already very low prices in half and this is the best part… They offered each store owner and employee in the store 50% off window cleaning at there home if they dropped us and started using them.
Ive been doing this for a long time now and Ive never heard of anything like this… All well that was last Friday and they went in every single store on main st. We haven’t had 1 cancellation yet…
I love seeing things like this. You know it’s the same old crap. You get a couple of guys who come from a backround where as if they made $10 per hour, they are super happy. Then they start their own service and figure if they move up to $12 per on their own, then life is good. Yet next year they fall off the planet as they see things are never that easy.
You know now they are sitting home wondering why their super cheap (no one can refuse) deal is not working. Hey it’s not always about price…
Welcome to my world. If anyone takes them up on their offer and cancels you, tell them to make sure they have a certificate of insurance. Most Bucket Bobs don’t. It should give your customers pause.
I’ve lost a cra dealership job to a guy who rides around on a scooter in town cleaning windows, only to have the business call me back a few months later…(and I raised the price) …still took me back…one employee said that the windows looked better BEFORE scooter guy did them than after…I’ve also given scooter guy some of my smaller jobs…that I wasnt making money on…when he sees my van he always honks at us and waves… beep… beep
