I just had Curt Kempton from 5 star window cleaning build me a new website from scratch. That kid is a golden child. He really can do pretty much everything. I’m pretty pleased with it although I know it still needs a little tweaking here and there. Take a look at you convenience and let me know what you think. I’m not looking for kudos here. I’m looking for areas of improvement. Are there any tweaks you would make?
BTW. If you don’t have a website yet look him up. He’s a window cleaner who knows how to build custom websites for window cleaners. Not just cookie cutter templates. Look him up. He’s on here.
I really love it Damian. One thought I had was about the page tabs. Do you need the ones at the top and the side? I’m no expert but it seems redundant.
Two small things I would change, just my opinion though…
The text across the top; the free estimate part and the “ahh…” part… it currently has a dark gray shaddow to the text to help it stand out. With the gray it’s sort of blurry, at least to me. I would suggest chaning the gray shaddow to a white shaddow. I would enlarge the size and distance of the shaddow too so it wasn’t as “sharp”. It will make it stand out, but will give it a “softer” look, and easier to read.
Also, are the pictures small or is it just this dang acer netbook with a 8.9 screen I’m using? lol.
I spoke with Damian and we made the changes that had the effect he was looking for. I have to admit that the white shadow in the banner was a really good call and Kevin’s new text for Damian’s personal guarantee was a really nice addition.
Things really slow down for me this time of year, so I re-vamped my own website last week with some new and slicker features focused on getting my phone to ring and people to fill out the bid forms and I’m already seeing the percentage of traffic to my site translate to more work.
Every year at this time, monsoon winds kick up a ton of dust and rain comes to thrash the windows, so people are really gun shy for the next 3 months about having their windows cleaned. We are focusing on tinting and now we are seeing the workload shift to that branch (WCR-- want to start selling tinting tools ?)
Anyhow, during these slow months I am going to start seeing if I can build websites or something to occupy my time and hopefully make it through the slow season better.
