I am not saying this is bad or good, just not what you expect from a window cleaning company.

That is pretty odd. Bet they’re the only window cleaning company in the country with that add on business. Glad I don’t work for them. Yuck.
No doubt those windows do need to be cleaned too. I agree, I don’t want to be one who cleans them though.

Oh, that stuff isn’t that bad. I mean don’t get me wrong, some scenes can be the nastiness of all, but you just have to look at it like its just dirty.
I do also think that it is a strange add on for a WC. I know of several companies that do this type of work only, but not a WC’er.
I thought Devo started a window cleaning company.
They don’t clean the windows, they clean everything… blech. Whenever you have “feces clean up” in your list of services, those are jobs I tend to run away from.
Let alone suicide clean up
I know someone has to do it, but that someone will not be me.
Nope, no way not me. I’d end up making more of a mess.
:eek:Barffff  barfff  barffff
i had a job a few years ago where a cleaner rang and asked for me to clean windows
i turned up to find the cleaner scrubbing somones brains off the wall
poor buger blew his head off
lets just say i never did any more work for that cleaner
i have had some wierd experiences in my 15 yrs cleaning windows
Did you clean the windows?
What was on them?
The bright yellow suits, clashing black rubber gloves, and gas masks look discrete.
I heard about a company in Las Vegas that does this same thing. They went to a upscale hotel in the middle of the night in an unmarked vehicle, carried all their supplies in luggage, so they looked like guests, cleaned up a bloody bathroom that a young woman slit her wrists in, took out bloody sheets and charged $2,000 for 2 hours worth of work.
I hear it’s good money but not good enough for me.
Steve,
You’re right. Its pretty much a “name your price” type of business. Lots of training and hazmat documentation for sure. I really wouldnt want to see that part of reality in life. My best friend was a on a swat team for 20 years. The harsh reality he encountered in his career really changed him as a person.
Steve
yes i did but the windows were just dirty
blood and brains over on the walls behind me
beats me as to how some of these cleaners can do this type of work
This is very interesting. 2 years ago, I ALMOST started a second company doing exactly this - crime scene clean up services.
HUGE bucks. $25,000 per clean up, etc.
Leaky crypts, environmental decontamination, abandoned bodies, people found dead for 4 days, all that stuff requires a massive, specialized clean up crew, but you need to get in with the local coroner and EMS peeps, and so forth, to get the calls when they need you.
Around here, in my case, the insurance costs prevented me from moving forward. The lowest quote I got was $10,000/yr for the basic coverage we would need, and that was too much of a risk for something so specialized and limited in demand.
I had an awesome guy that had all the creds willing to join me in partnership and everything, but we passed when we got specific on the liability costs.
That window cleaning company really should have established a separate division for it, and created a separate marketing track, to be most effective.
Cool idea, for sure, and profitable if done right.
Art, your avatar is creeping me out…
Yeah Kevin,
I would get wigged out if I were a window cleaning customer of thiers. My thought would be "I hope their not using the same towels that they used on the murder suicide that was on the news last week.
Good point, never thought of that side of things.
I was just thinking of how the two are so different, it doesn’t really make sense to the consumer, and doesn’t help the credibility thing at all.
I hope they don’t cross sell on their ads
Other services include:

[]Gutter cleaning
[]Gutter protection
[]Bio hazard clean up

I would run it under another division. Why even advertise something like that? Your clients are gonna be the coroner and the police. Don’t you just approach them and let them know of your services? That would be a little more discreet.
Ohh and your avatar is the reason everyone is freaked out by clowns.
