Accidents happen, but really!?

Be very careful when using that line of reasoning. That is not always the case. In many states there are exceptions that override agreements an employee signs. I would check with an attorney to make sure that is legal.

There are loads of legal protections from the government for employees; not so many for employers.

Its not a line of reasoningā€¦ its lawyer approved.

I wouldnā€™t post it, if it wasnā€™t.

And why would u assume that i didnā€™t check with a lawyer?

Excellent point. Most people donā€™t check with a lawyer so I assumed you didnā€™t. My apologies.

The reply was not necessarily specific to you but a word of caution to everyone.

I get it. Iā€™ve seen alot of owners on here and other places make decisions that seem (to me at least) contrary to good business practices or legal standing.

I appreciate your guys input, luckily my cousin is a stand up guy, I didnā€™t have to say anything, he took care of it all.

That is heā€™s a ā€œstand up guyā€ when heā€™s not sitting downā€¦

Just like the rest of us

Thatā€™s not legal in my state.

Insurance took care of it all.
