Amazed!

I was doiing a WFP mjob today and thought I had plenty of life left in my tank. I was wrong. Most of the way thru the job I checked the tds and it was 35. I figured I’d just finish the 15 windows I had left. By the time it was done it had risen to a tds of 50. I checked the work when we were doing the insides and (here’s the shocker) they were flawless. Any one else have similar stories?

If I remember correctly, Bill stated something along the lines of:

TDS is a broad term. It measures many different kinds of solids. Some of those solids may not leave water spots the way some do. So although your TDS was 35 or 50, it may have been a “solid” that isn’t a problem when it comes to windows. It’s best to just eliminate all solids though so there’s no problem of spotting.

Yes,
Bill reiterated that point at the seminar in NJ last Saturday.

Yep, I’ve done it with +50 & they came out fine. To many factors to take into consideration, but I won’t be trying to repeat the same tds.

You might have gotten away with it for the time being, but your tank is near the end of its effective life. Go ahead and order another one now, because the next job you do will be spotty. Once the TDS starts to show, the tank burns out quickly.

New resin is on the way and I’ll change it when it arrives.
