Anyone have ideas for a referral program?

I am going to use sendoutcards.com to start my referral program. I’ll send a customized card immediately after the service and then 4 or 5 cards through the year to the same customer. 1 spring and 1 fall reminder and cards in between asking kindly for referrals. I call it my “who do you know?” card.

SOC is an excellent marketing system that can be customized and automated to suit your needs and almost NO OTHER window cleaners are using it so we can use it to bind our customers to our company and separate ourselves from the competition. If you sign up use this ID: 96782

Are you still doing the 3 referalls and a free cleaning? Are those referals people who actually become a customer or just people you do bids for?

I’ve been giving cards to my clients with the 10% discount per referral spiel. Reading this, I think it really would be easier to do 3 referrals=free cleaning. I would just be careful to stipulate that a referral has to become a paying job to get counted, and the referral job has to be worth at least half the job done for the referring party.

Also I really like the direct probing for warm leads approach.

Man this takes me back to my first year on WCR. Many good people in this post who are no longer in the industry or don’t visit here.

I think a referral program is smart which is why I hate it.

We had a program for awhile. What I found is the type of clients I want and enjoy serving refer us for free cause they want to help their friends and see us succeed. Those who were super concerned about getting the discount were just annoying.

I had a customer give me a referral that turned into $2500 so I called her after I landed the bid and gave here a free exterior window cleaning valued at $200
