This is good, and often understated.
It’s REALLY important to separate any sense of relaxation with where you need to get Sh*t done.

• don’t do callbacks in front of the tv
• don’t do your homework in your bedroom
• and all that…

I knew a girl who worked from home (one of the first I knew of, before the internet.)
And she would get up, do her makeup, get fully dressed, put on shoes, and go to her specific ‘home office.’

The whole “working in you pajamas” sounds nice, but… well, you know.

…My father in-law worked as a sales rep for a steel company. He traveled
and mostly worked out of his office in the basement of his house. He would
totally dress as if going to the company office, suit and tie, take breaks, eat lunch, 9-5.
I thought it was weird 35 years ago, it makes sense today.

Hey Jimmy,

I grew up without a solid family in L.A. I’m lucky to have a post-grad education and a business to call my own. I have no idea what I’d be doing in SoCal right now unless I was hitting up windows in San Diego, or Santa Barbara.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I try not to get offended online. You have your own successful business. I’m working on mine.

I start scheduling my year in mid Feb. and by April 1st I am scheduled 6 & 7 days a week into mid August. During this time, any half or available days are scheduled with work from new estimates given. For a brief 3 week period I have Sundays off then back to the 7 day a week grind until Thanksgiving. This year was the craziest in doing 6 - 10 estimates every week and my only advertisement is on my truck. I honestly can’t keep up with who refers me anymore.
