Definitely a job for the WFP!

Nahhhhhhh…I’d use the Scrim!

would love to see how that power washing works for them

They probably just called a power washing company without thinking about it. I predict disastrous results.

My guys sent me photographs of this article today, that’s funny.

It’s location would demand closing lanes of traffic, which would require multiple police officers on point duty at $90/hr EACH, for the duration of the cleaning. Additionally, it will be a nightmare for aerial lift usage, since the streetcar tracks are attached to the building at regular intervals, requiring the descent and ascent of the lift about 5 times more often then normal, slowing you down and frustrating you to tears.

Lastly, being a grossly overbudget project already, there are probably only a few pennies left in the jar, and despite the public brow-beating, they will be heavily price-shopping their options, without question, to appear responsible to the community.

We’ve had leads on multiple crazy over budget jobs in the past few years that at the end of the day didn’t have two dollars to rub together to clean their windows.

Silly, but true.

It is funny, though, to see a public roasting over window cleaning.

I’m sure that they got calls from 50 local WC companies today, at least. Probably more like 100.

And I love the “wind-borne pollen” backpedaling, that is very funny.

Downtown Toronto is a huge construction pit, and it will always be dusty. They just feel dumb that they’ve dragged their feet and provided a ridiculous excuse for it.

Oh well. I don’t care really. Why am I even commenting on it??

If you got the job you would be marketing it a lot like the Opera House, right?

I would not to atempt to use a wfp on this job, I would use a lift 100%

I remember an American guy over on one of the UK forums. He said he had a trailer system & he used pure water to power wash. I suppose it could be done - I’d be worried about the inner workings of the pump though. When we asked him - he said he never had a problem with it stripping the pumps innards.

I use DI on my powerwasher, All you need to do is flush it with fresh water after you are done with the job.

No problems yet…

In a perfect world, I would have a chance of getting it for my price.

And I don’t even market the Opera House nearly as much as I could, because I don’t want any more of these jobs.

They are impressive-looking only, but useless as business-building efforts, or even profit-earning vehicles.

Way too much work and headaches for far too little income.

Quite ironic in fact.

Funny those goof balls didn’t consult me. I did the original construction clean up on those windows. Figures the government will waste more of the tax payers time and money. They’ll have to do studies and and then they will to tell us how they want it done.
