You must have no idea who that guy is. he owns a million dollar company. Do you have a million dollar company using your sales pitch. Does Keith have a million $ company. I would say that his advice is more valuable than kieths or yours. Not saying Keith is a bad guy, I like some of his videos but Daves advise is more valuable.

Hey I landed plenty of accounts in my street clothes
Hell I just closed a sale on the phone…for $1,000 while taking a crap…without even meeting the customer, plus ran his card while on the phone while we did a contract thru fax…not bragging, just want @Tgrove28 to know that it doesn’t matter what u wear or do, sales is part of the biz and if u suck at sales you’ll never make it
They can be very time consuming to get sometimes. Persistence and patience are two key things I’d say that you will need. We start at a local store and try our best to network with others/corp/franchisees. They do pay well… we don’t do net 45 . Our terms max are 30 with checks and 15 with credit card payments. If you do get brick walled which we have many times I always follow up later on. I was after a chain for almost 6 months …and finally spoke with the right person at the right time and landed 17 new bi weekly accounts. Keep at em you’ll get it.
Everything thing you Do needs to fit the situation. He was doing an impromptu stop to store fronts he was not walking into a hotel. I have seen the guy dressed in suit when it was called for. Either way, you can do what ever you want and question everything but he has a two very successful business and highly regarded in the exterior maintenance community. He doesn’t need your validation. His validation come from his level of success, willingness to help, and the respective he get from his from his peers.
You can take what people say and rephrase it to fit your argument. But it will not change your businesses current state. Only when you read and network with other professionals for information and adapt it to fit your needs and help you and your company grow will you truly benefit.
I try to keep it as gangster as possible, whenever possible… Lol
On a serious note, the video posted was just meant to help. If I remember correctly, as it was 3-4 years ago, I was 2 hours off a plane and we decided that a video for sales in the field would be beneficial to guys who did not feel comfortable or did not have experience doing it themselves.
I guess im attempting to not be offended by the comments made by our friend @Tgrove28. Pretty critical from someone who ive never met. If we do end up in the same room at any point in our life, please be polite and just stay away from me.
Sorry you didnt find anything helpful in the video. Ill try and share more valuable content.
Best of luck running your business and being successful. Have a great rest of your weekend.
Oh, Thank You to everyone
who chimed in with positivity and kind words, i truly do appreciate it.

@Lsmain, Dave has met me one time at the huge convention last year, and even before that he was helping and offering assistance to my company with writing contacts and aggressively chasing property managers like a lion after a gazelle. I totally changed my pricing structure based on one of his talks at the huge convention last year and have been killing it with the things he’s freely shared with me personally. geto boys unedited version damn it feels good to be a gangsta - YouTube
Thanks Dave

I’ve had enough of your dumb ass. It’s better to keep your mouth shut and look like a fool than to open it and prove it. This forum is way more support than you would ever get if you had purchased a franchise somewhere for umpteen thousand bucks. I don’t know anything for sure but it seems like your stepping on all the wrong toes.
I’m still new here and that video could have potentially just doubled my gross. Glass Renue huh? How much? Never mind Shut up and take my money.
When you are the FNG, sometimes it is best to listen and absorb, asking questions where needed, rather than offering your crappy opinion and critique of everything. Once you hit the three year mark in business, you can almost say you know success. Once you hit the 5 year mark in business, you are successful as a business.
You don’t go around as the FNG, bitching how you can’t get closed deals, then criticize those who ARE a successful business owner. It’s just stupid and low brow.
You are making personal attacks on seasoned, and helpful industry pros. That’s comparable to taking a dump as a guest, in someone else’s home, right on top of the coffee table. It’s trashy. And sooner or later, you’ll be shown the door.
I would not be critical if I were you.
