I thought you were talking about my coworker Danny. Great with people, tons of initiative, better window cleaner than I am and I trained him. He’s very diligent about company resources and is consistently looking out for my best interests. I started him at $13 and now after -8 months at 15. Worth every penny. Great guy.
Great Article Jesse. I have had many great employees (karma for putting up with all the horrid ones). Your right…whenever I have someone like that it is hard to think that I am in charge of them. They require very little management. Just like your employee, mine often were in transitory times in their lives so I knew I couldn’t keep them forever.
I would love to talk to you more about this topic. I am working on developing a system to help find and train exceptional employees. It is the hardest part of owning a business.
