The Ungers are very good poles. The problem is that they look too good. I had one taken out of my truck. Now I am looking for ugly poles.

i use a 18 foot pulex pole, it works but nothing special . for higher work i bought a 11metre fishing pole, carbon pole off ebay and shortened it to 9 metres .i slid some of the end bits inside the tip and glued them in . i use a 12 inch wagtail flipper at the 9 metre height and its modified just like a guy called WAGGA did his. he has a load of really good pole videos on youtube ,called MyWagga
I love his stuff! http://www.youtube.com/user/MyWagga
I hate it when they get stuck. I guess itās safe for me to assume that you donāt carry a couple channel lock
pliers on the truck.

If you donāt over tighten them, they donāt get stuck. It will loosen with enough force of course.
Yeah, thatās the one Iāve always preferred for commercial work, too, a 2-section 4-8 footer.
Also use the Unger Tele, first buying the 1st 3 sections and adding on to it as it became necessary. Iāve poled 40ā windows with it, standing on a step ladder. One thing about it is that thereās so much flex in it at that height, fully extended, that after a while the first one or two sections get a little bent.

Were you using the two part cleaning thing with the sqeegee on one side and the washer on the other? At that height it would be heavy. I canāt see how you could take the pole down and change to the squeegee before it dries.
Actually, i found out what was wrong with it. It wasnāt that i couldnāt loosen it. It was the bottom collar wouldnāt tighten because on the cone and clamp assembly the clamp that attaches onto the pole has teeth that broke off. So it just spins when i try to loosen it or tighten it. I just need to buy a new large cone and clamp assembly and it will be fine
