a 14 " or 18 " it depends how dirty it is… but mostly 18 "
I don’t have a 14". I might order one so I can see if it saves time. The 10" takes quite a few passes on larger windows. On residential, I don’t usually carry the 18 cuz It’s too big for many windows, but I think a 14 would make a nice alternative. I got a 10 and an 18 with the starter kit I bought and I have been making do with those tools. Time to experiment and open up my arsenal.
So if it’s really dirty you use a smaller scrubber?
i like the 6" 10" and the 18" they are all i need on a residential.
this was going through my mind mike when i was writing this…up until recently ( one year ago ) i had always used 22 " and sometimes the 18 "… now i am using the 18 "
and now to answer your question…
if the glass is covered with stuff that wont budge with a washer its out with the 6 " scraper… anything thta dont need scraping but needs a bit of a scrub i use a 14 " because recently i have been having a problem with my left elbow and its easier work and just as effective if not more effective with a 14 " because there is more pressure / scrubbing efficiency produced with a 14 " as with a 18 " . when needed…
what people dont realize is my job really does entail a hell of a lot of high quality stuff… and its this high quality work which takes it out of you… so this is why my system and the way i work might come over as a little bit too much … its juts that High quality work is very demanding … so using the 14 " is actually quite quick and enjoyable in a way… so recently i have been using the 14 " and a 18 " unger ergo tech squegee fairly often…
all the best john
A month ago I would have said my 14", 90% of the time. Now I use my Wagtail Whirlwind, and I think it’s around 12??, about 75% of the time now.
The one a like the most is a 16" green Unger
I use a 18 and a 6
16 " you made that yourself then ? actually love to have a 16 " its exactly what i need
I use the 14" Pulex swivel with an Unger Monsoon strip. Lackzo just made me curious about the MicroTiger so I might have to try it…
