Best tip for Garelick

I’ve got a couple of Garelick poles, including a 1-2’er attached to my BOAB and I’m having trouble finding a good tip. I use Ettore handles almost exclusively and they don’t fit very well on either wood tips (I’ve tried 3 different kinds) or the little plastic tip sold by ***. I’m tired of my handles spinning and coming loose. Anyone have a suggestion?

I have modified my Garelick <a href=“http://shopwindowcleaner.com/window-cleaning-tools/extension-poles/garelick-poles/garelick-24-3-section.html?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=185e0de6” target=“_top”><img src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/accounts/default1/banners/garelick extension pole-4.jpg” alt=“” title=“” /></a><img style=“border:0” src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/scripts/imp.php?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=185e0de6” width=“1” height=“1” alt=“” />and Mr Longarm <a href=“http://shopwindowcleaner.com/window-cleaning-tools/extension-poles/mr-long-arm/mr-longarm-4-8-pro-fit-extension-pole.html?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=a65c9393” target=“_top”><img src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/accounts/default1/banners/mr longarm pro fit extension pole.jpg” alt=“” title=“” /></a><img style=“border:0” src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/scripts/imp.php?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=a65c9393” width=“1” height=“1” alt=“” />poles to use the Ettore locking cone <a href=“http://shopwindowcleaner.com/window-cleaning-tools/extension-poles/pole-accessories/ettore-pro-pole-tip.html?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=055db7d9” target=“_top”><img src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/accounts/default1/banners/ettore pro plus plastic pole tip.jpg” alt=“” title=“” /></a><img style=“border:0” src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/scripts/imp.php?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=055db7d9” width=“1” height=“1” alt=“” />

Here’s the video of how I did it -

Thanks Tony. I’d thought about cutting the tip off with a hacksaw, then drilling through the pole to accommodate the lock that attaches the tip to the pole. I’m a little bit afraid to since I don’t know if the diameter is close enough.

I haven’t had an issue since I did mine. They are holding up great.
