Couldn’t find Business section so i posted here. How many wrote a business plan to start there business? How important do you think it is to write one?
Business plans give you a goal to aim towards and ensure you never lose focus…as if you go off the rails you can look back at your business plan and know how you felt regarding different topics say 6 months/a year ago.
don’t bother with all that excecutive summary shiii tho.
I was looking at some business plans and basically they are all the same. Some of the info on them is good though. It just seems like if you actually filled in the sections you would be writing the same thing over and over.

What was it? - if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
I will be redoing my business plan this winter. I have changed the focus and modified my strategy towards business. As well I will be implementing some business strategies as a direct result of this board, Kevin, Eric and NCP? havn’t see that name for a while, but he did have some good nuggets in all the gravy.
There are numerous free planners available. Some of the sections are repetative yes, so, copy and paste. The other sections will if nothing else force you to think out things.
I wrote one when I started, I lost it and can’t find it 
I remember that this is where I wanted to be, November, back when I wrote it in February…So i remember the goals and have reached them when I thought I would, just sucks losing that special piece of paper:eek:
it definitely makes you think.
I put together one earlier this year and it is rather amazing how clear the direction of travel comes when you have a laid out plan. I’ve done business plans previously so it is nothing new to me.
I always like it though once it is thoughtfully completed and you can look at it periodically and gauge the progress. It makes things simpler and more organized.
