Buying commercial accounts

This does sound to high.

It depends on the area and the work.

Merv I don’t touch store front. But that does not mean I dont understand business. Heck that’s a lot of money that could have been put to better use in my opinon. As one poster stated and many other great businessmen. “Never use your own capitol”. That’s a big issue in business that many seem to fall into. They have a chunk of change in the bank and instead of leveraging it for a loan, they spend it and in most cases lose it. I have stated here that I dont like store front. But that does not mean he should not be in that portion of the industry. Again I think it’s volatile. But that’s me. There are companys that can make a great go at it but I honestly think they are rare. I have a store front company here that has a pretty good lock on the area. But they have a system that works for them, many don’t. As far as advertising to them, heck he could have took a loan on the cash and hired someone to sales for him at a salery rate plus comission. Anything would have been better then just tossing out the bread for 90 accounts. This guy is new to the industry, if you read some of his later posts I think you’ll have a whole differant perspective on his situation. I think he tossed good money out the window towards a section of the industry he has some knoweldge of. Hey it’s no sweat off my back, it’s not my money. If it was I would have used towards residential work and stayed indoors during those famously cold SD winters. But it don’t matter, it’s water under the bridge. Money spent, is money spent. And it’s not mine or yours. Our businesses will go on.
