Its already been done - it was called the “reach & vac” it was an Ionics product - it was phased out due to problems I believe.

Tucker did, in fact, invent the wfp in the 1950’s. It was originally used to wash houses and boats. Later it was used for windows. Craig Mawlam of Ionics was the British distributor of Tucker until he invented his fiberglass pole and the rest, as they say, is history.

I’ve been using old bath towels for wiping sills. On many of my commercial jobs, the sills are so dirty that half of the towel will be black at the end of the day.

Any downsides to using bath towels?

For speed, I have one end of the towel in each hand, stand between a set of windows and wipe the bottoms of all 4 basicly while standing in one spot.
