A few newscasters in the area, but nobody I would consider famous. We don’t really market towards those types of homes.
Big homes dont necessarily mean more windows. There’s a house 1 block from here… has to be a $2m house, and from what I see its a $200 job.
I don’t understand this house though… its in a neighborhood where people pay for the view, yet, this particular home has no windows facing east, which is where the view is.
Oh well, not my money to spend so I cant say much lol
I have done a few famous people. I only got to meet one of them. Thrump, he was really nice. His black rolls was amazing. I happened to read his book a few years ago “the are of the deal” and found out he did not like shaking hands. I keep hand sanitizer in the truck so when he came over I plopped some on my hand before I shook his. He commented “never had someone do that before. do you think my hands are dirty?” I told him about reading his book and it put a smile on his face. I swear I think that stupid little gester got me the gig. I also cleaned one of mayor bloombergs homes but never met him. One thing that always freaks me out is when I find out we are cleaning the home of a major ceo of a company. I clean the home of the owner of ameriprise. That dude has retarded money. Bowling ally in the basement that is bigger and longer then my entire yard. One time he landed a choper in the back yard and dirtyed up the glass again. Had no problems paying for a 2nd clean because of it. Also cleaned the HQ office for lawn doctor which led to us cleaning the old mans house. I had no idea that franchise is one of the top 25 Home-based franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine and also they have own so many franchise awards from large well know mags it’s amazing. Last year I saw they out ranked KFC for like 5 years in a row for recommened franchises to buy. That dudes house was suprisingly not too big. It is on the water but not an eye sore. Now his boat is another issue.
Thrump whould be a cool person to meet. Did you ask him any business questions? Pretty sure people pay to spend time with him and you had some free time.
Here in South Jersey I’ve cleaned windows for about 10 different Philadelphia Flyers. I currently have a couple Philadelphia Eagles as well. About 5 years ago, I serviced the house that T.O. infamously did his push-ups in front of.
I cleaned windows for Peter Collins years ago. Not the singer, he is a record producer. If you remember Air Supply, Rush, and Alice Cooper, he produced some of their albums (long before CDs). He lived in London and had a house in Mississippi. Now the closest I get to a famous person’s house is Faith Hills parent’s home and her brother’s home.
Edit: One of my regular customers is in business with Archie and Eli Manning. In fact I just cleaned her windows this month for a party that the Mannings would be attending.
Who is this Thrump person??
First Name is Donald. “Your’e fired.”
Lol, OH, you mean Donald Trump.
That is if Ray read “The Art of the Deal” and not “the are of the deal”.
I cleaned the tour bus carpets of Aerosmith and Lenny Krvitz at The Palace Of Auburn Hills back in 06.
Here in Cali you clean windows for people who are not even famous but have as much dough if not more than alot of these stars, not Donald Thrump, I mean Trump but still some accomplished individuals. Now I clean my houses windows and Im a legend, does that count?
Used to help another window cleaner out quite frequently. Helped him do Walt Weiss’ house once. Walt Weiss is a former shortstop for the Colorado Rockies. He had a tennis & basketball court in the back yard, and his front yard was a baseball field…bleachers, outfield, and everything. I once did the Denver mayor’s residence for this same guy.
I was a waiter at Denny’s back when I was 20. I once served Ken Griffey Jr. His house was up the hill from our restaurant. Nice guy. Tipped me $7 on a $20 ticket.
I suspect that this list of celebrities that we service is actually quite a bit larger than this thread would suggest.
If I service a celebrity, I would not discuss it on a public forum unless I was specifically told that I could. Since I would never ask for permission in the first place- its not likely to ever happen.
I would imagine I’m not the only one who says nothing. I’m sure some of the guys/gals on here are doing work for big stars all the time.
Over the years we have done a famous painter, an author and plenty of CEOs but we mostly do properties owned by rich folk who think they’re celebrities. Most of the time we are hired by a caretaker/prop mang.
I clean for the cartoonist for Hagar The Horrible in the comic section. Do his place monthly. Very nice guy, I know he is not a huge celeb, but the biggest I got. For Christmas he drew me a picture of Hagar and put some cash in an envelope for me…pretty cool guy.
Northern CA 1970s-80s: Tommy Smothers (10 years), Robin Williams (bid only), Shelley Long (Cheers), Roger McGuinn (Byrds), Chris Hayes (lead guitar Hughy Lewis & News), Mike Rosenfeld (TV movie producer), Marcy Carcey (producer Seinfeld, etc.)
Arizona 1990’s -0’s: Keith Foulke (Red Sox), Leslie Nielsen (helped another WC’er).
Oregon current: Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), Mason Williams (guitarist).
I don’t feel comfortable saying my list, but one of the high profiles that I have done had me and my crew sign a privacy contract before coming into their home. It mentioned how we cannot use any info that we learn while there to sell to the media. It was four pages long. I asked for a copy, was told I would receive one, but never did. Plus the house manager had to follow us into every room. She wouldn’t allow us to go ahead of her. And she wouldn’t let us open the front door cuz tour buses would come by every 20 minutes. That celeb was a big celeb, but I’ve done a-listers, etc that could care less if you stepped on their bed. I’ve done many b-listers and behind the camera people too. They are kinda cool to work for cuz they never really know if you recognize them. But I almost always pretend I don’t know any celeb cuz I don’t like showing people more attention cuz they play act for a living and get paid for it. They like you acting like they are nobody famous (even when they know you know). I think they respect that.
Any Michigan or Packer fans out there

When I use to work for another company, we did the windows for an ocean front home of a NASCAR driver who would drive a car with 24 on it.After the the second cleaning I asked my boss(at the time) not to send me back there. Some time shortly later I heard that karma had caught up.
