This is what I drink and also brew my own pretty much to the same standard as you can commercially purchase, due to the fact that the beer is actually conditioned in the bottle just as home brew is and unlike most commercially available beers this improves with age, and instead of the bottles having a best by date they have a best after date on the bottles. btw 5.8%
I have never liked XXXX, I also do not know of anyone who drinks kiwi beer, my local bottle shop sells NZ pure or something like that its like 1/2 the price of the local beers I have never tried it my dad says its not real good.
It generally depends what state you live in to what beer you drink XXXX is the Queensland local brew, VB is Victoria’s , Tooheys is NSW and Coopers is South Australia’s.
I spent 12 years in Adelaide where I delvepoed a taste for the Coopers.
Sheesh, I’ve never seen a thread take off like this before. But I know what to get FastFanner for christmas. How bad do you want it?
Tried this red ale for the first time tonight, pretty tasty. It’s out of Quebec. Being gluten free kind of limits the options, and I definitely miss certain beers, like ‘Shed’ (a Vermont beer, btw).
There are approximately 7.3 billion microbreweries in our area (Asheville, NC), and 7.2 billion of them are pretty awesome, so it’s hard to pick one, but here’s one of my current favorites:
I highly recommend it if you get a chance to try it.
If you end up in our area, please holler at me and I’ll buy you a pint at one of our many awesome pubs.
Ones to try are, in my order of preference:
1: Wicked Weed
2: Sierra Nevada’s Taproom
I don’t really like their off-the-shelf beers, but they have pure deliciousness in their taproom
3: Jack of the Wood
4: Barley’s Taproom
5: The Thirsty Monk
Come visit…We’ll talk shop and enjoy a brewski (or twoski)
I’ve still got tons to learn about what’s out there, but I have to agree with FastFanner on PA. Yuengling has been my go-to for years when I don’t feel like experimenting.
