That’s also very tricky at least here in Canada. If there is a problem the employer will have to prove they are true sub contractors. They must have their own schedule, insurance (I think insurance), transportation and tools.

I know there’s a way around it, my brother in law pays carpet cleaners by % and doesn’t take any income tax off them. And I used to get paid piece work as a window cleaner.

Wouldn’t a state or federal law take precedent over a signed contract (you can’t have someone legally sign a contract that is breaking the law…)?
