Does your significant other

Does your significant other have any role in your business?

Personally mine doesn’t… (im to much of a maniac at work)… The relationship would come crashing down quickly.

But I know a lot of people pull it off very well.

I’d have to say absolutely -yes!
Haven’t you seen the videos?

She is a nurse and she works long hours so on her days off I tried to get her to help me on small jobs so we could spend more time together. I found out quickly that we could not work together. We are two totally different people at work. We would have been single if we worked one more hour together! She might send some invoices out of go bid some jobs with me but other then that it would be bad.

hell no

ditto to starbrite.

Triple ditto, with a high five and a dial tone.

haha mine doesnt. she did help label postcards though which was huge help for the 35,000 i just sent out

My wife is a nurse and doesn’t have time to help with the business. That’s OK though because she’s very supportive about me doing this. That support is the main thing I need from her as far as this business is concerned.

My wife is awesome, we have worked together on multiple projects for many years and it usually works out good. Some people can do it, others need their time apart. She does bookkeeping for other small businesses, and she helps out doing whatever she can on the WC side - books, cleaning, scheduling, call backs, direct mail…you name it.

We work better as a team.

Really??

we do too, and we’ve found it’s an excellent selling point, at least in the residential market. Helped us to close tons of jobs. We have a fight every now and then but overall we function very well together, do make an A+ team

My woman is a Nurse. She is good in her field. But is, very good support. She helps with the paper work. Works out good for us. She’s a woman loves to keep track of the Money. LOL

Let’s here from Bill.

She helps out with the website and advertising or whenever Im ready to throw a chair out the window. Yeah, I still have a problem asking for help.

My wife does the clerical work. She is super organized and competent. We also do 8 cleaning jobs of varying frequencies as a family. I cover the field and phone calls. My only wishes: 1. the field view would coincide more often with the desk view. 2. I would be spending less time w/ a squeegee in hand. 3.She’d deal directly on the phone with more customers. They love her phone persona.

ooooo trouble in paradise Linda?? Let Bill speak!

Tony helps me out tremendously!

Make sure you pat him on the head every now & then & use soothing words. If he makes a mistake, don’t punish him. Ignore the mistake and repeat the command in a manner that ensures he will comply. Don’t give him a chance to become bored - they have a short attention span. Take breaks often to play a game or just run around together. You can teach him to sit by using a treat lure. Stand in front of your dog holding a treat in one hand. Starting directly above his nose, slowly raise the treat upward and slightly out. As he lifts his head to follow the treat, his rump should drop to the ground. Make sure he keeps his front paws on the ground. Once he is sitting, give him the treat and praise him. When he is consistently sitting with the lure, introduce the sit command. He will associate the action with the command and his compliance with the reward.

my husband is a contractor and helps out when I lay my pt guy off in Jan and Feb.He slows down then too so works out well. He also helps on our larger jobs. Love my hubby but it can be hard to work w/ a spouse full time …definitely need time away from eachother…I’m a little stubborn and headstrong so we kinda clash at times:rolleyes:…but hes really been a huge help to me and the business:D
