ECOVER Water Fed Pole revolution Video

How did you go with the WFP and gg4 karl ?

( i am always willing to learn a better way… i have said and will keep saying you have to do the bare minimum in window cleaning to keep your customers happy and loyal. when you start hitting 25 years window cleaning your body starts sending you some funny messages… and all the young guys here would be better off realizing this if there in this for the long hall.)

Karl i have had Peters brush quite a while . cant say really that his on off was my thing but his brush seems like its very good

what are your thoughts on the New gardiner brushes ? and the Unger Nlites ?

i was thinking of getting huge 60 cm for flat glass roofs ???

Peters brushes & the brush I have (pending getting it out there) are the best I’ve tried, I’ll stop there, if you don’t mind*:stuck_out_tongue:
Unger nlite haven’t tried, maybe too heavy for me looking at the spec’s.

I prefer smaller brushes (around 12") because if you go bigger, you need more water & action on the glass because agitation is reduced due to less pressure because of the wider area. Funnily enough - this is where heavier poles become useful.

Oh… & GG4 seems to work better with wfp especially in the sun. You proved this yourself when you soaped up a window in one of your videos - the more agitation, the more the soap becomes encrusted.

Yeah

GREAT KARL will defo try the GG4 tommorrow… ill take me vidoe cam with me. and give it a shot

so in a nut shell is it the future of high water fed pole cleaning ? water IMO does not work the glass no where as good as with soap

This is a great idea John</SPAN></SPAN>
Especially do windows or even solar panels, the first time around. </SPAN></SPAN></SPAN>
You might be able to have to have something the will enable you to just squirt small amount of concentrated chemical on the glass.
Then just add water.

Some of the other window cleaners (especially those from MWCoA) will know I’ve been advocating pre-scrubbing with GG4 before wfp work for a few years now.

Edit: You will also reduce spotting & cut the wfp clean time, water used & hassle factor down by 75%. It’s a first clean solution to those longer duration jobs.

I have found a better way to use the pad and that is to have it fixed around the brush basically it is a flexible applicator

a Friend is making these for me and will post when they are done!

no need to worry now about scratched glass or cills,

Now i only need water to rinse with, honestly customers are happy to see soap on their windows again,

i much prefer doing the windows this way and i can clean frames as well

a soaped up applicator cleans better and faster that a brush alone!

To me i see many benefits although not everyone will agree, but each to their own i suppose

customers like the fact that their windows are being cleaned the old way ie: soap on the windows

i can also clean the frames as well now with this new method, before i could only do this with a brush!

it is faster and does a better clean than a brush alone

dont have to worry about scratched glass or cills

dont have to buy expensive brushes

use far less water as only need it to rinse!

and i dont get streaks or spotting that you can get with pure water alone!

And my brushes now only cost me a £1

ps. to give you an idea on how it works with the sleeve on the brush soap up an applicator wash a window and rinse it with water!

Basically water fed pole with a washer applicator sleeve instead of a brush makes a lot of sense i was thinking about the same thing just aint got round to converting one… mainly because there is a lot of metallic frames here that scratch when scrubbed with a brush… and the only way around that was to covert a normal trad sleeve for WFP

James have you tried the GG4 like karl was saying ?

all the best John

This is what the applicator on the brush does john!

acutally john you have already tried this as in your video you soaped up the window with your brush then rinsed off, but you will find it is far quicker to soap up with an applicator than it is with a brush!

I believe you james because you have been suing the same method recently … i think a 35 cm T bar should be about the right size…the only problem is rinsing off at height do you have the T bar and sleeve on the glass or is it off the glass

John i dont use a t-bar the applicator is wrapped around the brush! you can rinse on or off its up to you!

John let me explain what it is i have done!

right you have a t-bar to this you put it inside an applicator sleeve! and use it to scrub your window!

it is the same princible instead of a t-bar you are putting the brush into the sleeve!
<!–[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:DoNotOptimizeForBrowser/> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]–>obviously you cant put a brush into a normal sleeve thats why i am getting them made to fit!
do you follow me now!

Here is one way to do it

Well i have been out today on a trial run with the mock-up one, and what i have found is that i can scrub and rinse as i go down the glass, there is no need to scrub all over the window just scrub the top bit as that is usally where any dirt will lay,
so i only have to scrub this bit to start with and then as i am scrubbing down i am rinsing as well,

Normally with wfp you would scrub all over the glass to clean then go back over it to rinse on or off the glass! so what you are doing is going over it twice, i now dont have to do this as i am scrubing and rinsing as i come down the glass!

with my new method i am rinsing down as i am scrubbing down the glass so no need to go over the glass twice!

to explain it better if you where trad and done the two handed method ie: applicator in one hand and blade in the other, now what you would do is scrub window and follow behind the applicator with your blade!

this is basically the same thing that i am doing with the pad on the brush!

But instead of the blade following the applicator it is the rinse water!

well got my new sleeves today! the person that was going to be making them for me is not well so i will be making them myself!

These sleeves will work the same way as a sleeve on a t-bar quick on and off!

here`s a few pics as to how it will work once finished! as you can see it follows the profile of the window frame perfect!

These can be useful on first cleans where the frames are really bad or on high up windows that are really soiled, and they just undo with velcro straps to remove!

As you can see from the pic when you are cleaning the bottom of a frame you are also cleaning the cill!

I understand exactly where your Going james … i have had the same thoughts on making something similar if we really think about it it makes a lot of sense i think it is very possible it could be more effective…, especially here because there are lots of metallic frames… and to be honest i think with the sörbo applicator sleeve with the white pad which i have ( one side sleeve the other white scrub pad ) will cover glass quicker and easier… a washer sleeve glides over the glass easier than a brush… covers more ground quicker… one will have to bring it down to wash it out though thats the only snag. but a small snag… i will be making my own out very soon… i have a lot of belief in this…it makes great sense… just will have to try it out to confirm what my instinct is telling me …

Oh yeh . things have changed. because a applicator sleeve on its own would possibly not be as effective as a brush when using water alone… but things have changed now . and with soap coming into the equation we could well see this being taken over in the future , because it just makes a lot of common sense to me…

!!! read this space !!!

Good that you can now see where i am going with this john! and yes as you say a soaped applicator cleans and loosens dirt far faster that a brush alone!

John in hot days you can still wet the glass as you tend to do!

When you are going to do a high window as you raise the pole and get to the level with the bottom of the glass turn your water on and as you raise the pole to the top, all the glass is pre-wetted before you start!

How often do you dip your scrubber in your solution? Do I understand correctly that you scrub the entire window and frame with the monsoon flip and simply rinse with the brush?

No the monsoon covers the whole of the brush there will be overhead jets just above the monsoon, will post pics when finished! to give you a better idea.
