Evaluate your pricing?

You are on spot with your comment ThruGlass. I charge french prices same on all the westcoast. Do you charge by the glass or by the window inset?

we charge by the window

Honestly don’t care what you think.

And if you have been doing this for 30 years why are you here and asking such a beginner question?

You are a specialist just not in cleaning

Sorry, but he needs to be respectful and not just bleep in on a conversation I was having with a guy on here. If this is how people treat each other on here then my knowledge will go else where. Obviously, you the gate keeper have no idea who I am and neither does this Dave Yogi… I invented many cleaning and restoration methods that you buy and I have a proto type for a new project coming available soon. I treat people with respect cause of my knowledge and experience in this business as a second generation glass cleaner. Have some class and respect all should be a rule on here!! Well said my peace.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself if you do that? Because from the get-go, you started belittling and condescending to some well respected members here. It’s an attitude that usually isn’t received well, especially when there’s little basis for it.

I’m sure you’ve got some great insights to share with the community here. But unless you practice what you preach and show some respect and class, your knowledge and opinions won’t be received well.

Sounds like many are very sensitive on here then. Being a member of the IWCA for years and on on a board of the osha regulations and being an advocate to window cleaners like yourself. You do’t have to like my opinions of what I have to say. I am simply giving a recommendation! Plus we can read something and take it two ways, whether you agree or disagree, whether you read it with a negative side or positive side as well.

Is your last name Ettore or Unger? If it is then you’re royalty and carry on.

If it isn’t, we’d probably enjoy hearing more about your background because you’re not the only entrepreneur on here.

But you made two fatal flaws in your attack on Dave:

  1. None of us know who you are. If you’re really as tenured as you say, then give us your CV. In contrast we know Dave, some people like him others don’t, but he is a respected long-standing member of the community.

  2. Bucket Bob’s do not evaluate their pricing. By definition they they don’t have a pricing structure or strategy. Evaluating pricing yearly is a good idea. If you wait for years then you’ll lose customers when you raise prices because it’s a shock. If you raise prices yearly, then customers come to expect it and will stick with you.

that’s explains it.

not sure where you live but here groceries gas wages and everything here goes up constantly, customers expect things to go up even if they don’t always like it. by adjusting in small increments on a yearly basis things stay good.
one of the biggest problems with the company i started with was they did not adjust annually for existing customers, soon the price was too far below the going rate and they would be afraid to raise it for fear of loosing the customer.

Was nice chatting with you all. Sorry if I bruised some the wrong way. Don’t think this forum is for me. Peace out!

new members here are sometimes treated very harshly here, it’s unfortunate and i find it embarassing but there is lots of good info and good people.

Does anyone know how to delete my account on here? Thank you

Not the San Diego I’m from

Yup this’s why you need to be able to identify these things that could be more labor an adjust your price accordingly ,

If I see it I add an hour or 2 of labor to my price or whatever I feel is atticuite.

sometimes you don’t see it an it is what it is an like Dave Yogi says you make s note an adjust when hey call again

Yes, I’m working on my speech of after starting a job and finding “unexpected’s” to go to the home owner with a revised price. The garage does it with your vehicle, and the Electrician may find a faulty breaker that didn’t show first go around. It seems lately I have run into this more, so just conversing about it. Some of the other stuff sounds like a political debate! lol
