Well, I wouldn’t want folks without much experience to think $150 per man-hour is “typical” for run-of-the-mill storefront work and wind up being disheartened.
With 90% of the windows in the city not being touched I don’t consider that competition. Besides these guys quality is awful, they don’t wipe frames or sills, they don’t detail the windows at all, they skip windows etc. The one thing they do is show up consistently.
Sounds like a franchise that cleans a lot of windows in my area operates. They offer a really low price and have to move really fast to make a profit. People don’t seem to mind.
