Facebook versus this forum

What is it you suppose attracts so many jackasses to the Pro Window Cleaning Facebook group that you don’t find on this forum? Sure it’s social media, but these are professionals working with the public as well. I’ll read posts there but save my questions and opinions for here.

I miss the days prior to facebook and the conversations that were had here.

“ease” of posting and speed is what I heard as reasons the herd left.

I am the worlds greatest facebooker, which means I distain it and typically default to cursing.

It is odd that it seems so unprofessional on Facebook, but often Facebook is a free for all on most pages.

Many veterans from this forum are on Facebook. It’s a shame when they have valuable input and knuckleheads drown it out with sarcasm or snarky comments. It’s cool to poke a little fun and have some jokes when it’s appropriate. It’s also nice to be able to share genuinely helpful advice.

They do come , but when they don’t get the attention they want they either leave or get kicked out

I like this format better because you can go back in the archives and read old posts. So much to learn.

Same here, this forum is my go to reference when I encounter a new conundrum. With the recent talk of a possible recession, I was skimming posts from the last one for survival tips.

Facebook has no grace period. Ask a question or post a picture / video that may be dumb or make you appear new, some jerk(s) immediately start to pile on with BS. People here are more forgiving and helpful. The people i have seen get roasted on this forum have for the most part, asked for it.

Oh wow, you’re right. Glad to see you’re still here. That was the last summer of being childless, and now I have 3.
