Fake Google review

Hello everyone-

I recently received what I know to be a fake review on Google. You can see it by clicking here.
It’s the 2nd review, titled “Seen better” by “Bryan”. Well, I clicked on “Bryan”, and saw that he gave a glowing review to a competitor of mine…and signed his name as “Maria” in the review. I looked up the competitor, found their address, and found that the address was owned by someone named…“Bryan”!
This is obviously a fake review. I’ve had no complaints from any of my customers…and in the review, he talks about a “crew”, and I’m a one man operation. Also, I’ve never serviced anyone named “Bryan”.

So, my question is, do any of you know how to dispute and/or get rid of a fake review?

I reviewed myself, as I’m sure you’ll see, only to explain the fake review. But, I’d rather have this bogus review removed.

I looked up some info regarding google “small business” listings and it seems that other people have had similiar inquiries as far as removing a bum review. IT looks like you did the best thing that can be done.

Can a business owner delete their local business listing and post it again as a way to remove a bad review? - Maps Help

You can call Google too 1.866.246.6453 and you should be able to get someone on the phone.

Just flag the review as inappropriate ( it’s right there next to it) and state the violation or whatever. Google will remove the review when you tell them it a competitor. I would also remove your review about “Bryan’s” review being fake.

Yep flag the review… Send Google a little note… It should be down soon.

I did this. I hope it works. If it doesn’t, I’ll call Google.

You can google their phone number
