Robinson-Solutions: DIY Hot Water Systems for Water Fed Poles
:):):):):)
I was intrigued by the heater Nate! My biggest problem would be keeping the water supply or water tank from freezing in our winter’s here. But having hot water for those really dirty jobs would be awesome. By the way how big a propane tank do you use and how long will it last (in gallons or liters)?
I use an 11kg (25lb?) tank and it lasts me 4-5 weeks of working,… even at my busiest time of year I get 3 weeks out of a tank of propane. I have a bypass from the heater back to the tank, so in the winter I can use the heater to heat the entire tank in the evenings and keep the frost away. I’ve insulated my truck too, as freezing can do a lot of damage to WFP gear.
Come to Texas and enjoy the benefits from natural heating- last Friday I checked the temp of my output and it was a 110deg, I forgot to put the tank on the shadow
Nice!!
I’m considering running a heat exchanger from my truck radiator to pre-heat the wfp tank when i’m driving. I think in winter it’d really help keep the frost away.
You’ve been through a few heaters Nat - do you think the L5 is the best out there? Did you look at the Omnipole one?
I think with the flow rates used in the USA the L5 should be perfect. In Europ though many cleaners work with a flow rate of 1 litre per minute, and the L5 needs to be modified to work at that flow rate.
I plan to try the JSD12 from Arazbao next,…
