Yeah, I’m learning from each “failure” how to adapt my flyer, now a brochure and adapt it so I get calls.

I put on the brochure (on brochure paper too) for them to count up their windows. But I think that might scare off some people (It seems like too much work) so I might leave that out. And only mention about counting windows when they call me.

What do you think?

This is my first yr in business…I printed up 500 flyers and hit up the high end market…got like 5 calls and one job. Costs me 125.00 I put an ad in the paper a month later just for saturday’s paper…well a flyer insertion that went out to 10,000 homes and in the first 3 days, i get 16 calls, and landed 11 of them…so im finding the fler in the paper is doing the trick. The price for 10,000 was 650.00. I made that on my first 3 jobs…this is a week later now since they went out, and im still getting calls. I love my job!!

I’m glad that you landed jobs with your paper insert. But I wanted to draw your attention to one statistic.

You landed 1 job with 500 flyers. Or 1:500
With your inserts you landed 11 with 10,000 inserts or .55/1000

So far you are doing better with the flyers, but if you keep getting calls and land more jobs, you might do better with the inserts.

I would rather look at it in cost:
Flyers: $125 to land 1 job
Inserts: about $60 to land 1 job

Also, he must have put more time into the flyer campaign.

i was gonna say time spent in delivering flyers counts too…then i see the post above me…so well put.

I would not ask them to do anything but call. You can then ask if they know how many windows they have or whatever.

With those numbers he needs to put a lot more time into his fliers and do research into his target market.
