Hello again all-
The time has come for me to break down and actually get my hands on some professional graphic design software. Trust me MS Paint and Word only get you so far (but damn have I created some cool stuff with them). I tend to lean more towards simple software, but that being said, I am NOT computer illiterate either.
So…what software are you guys using to create fliers, brochures, postcards, etc…Photoshop? Illustrator? MS Publisher? Etch-a-sketch?
Plus - I am always tight on a budget, so please don’t recommend Adobe CS3 or CS4 as I cannot justify buying software worth more than my car, and those are software bundles…I am interested in standalone programs only.
Yep, do what Chris says. Photoshop elements is amazing. Very easy to learn.
You can get free trials too from Adobe’s website. I am running photoshop elements on a single core processor and it still works fast. If you turned out getting good pieces with word then you should have no problem getting used to photoshop.
Here is a version you can have. Follow the link and download, uncompress, and run. It is a portable version of Photoshop CS4, meaning you can put it on a flash drive and use it on any computer.
You will need to download Winrar from cnet.com to uncompress the files. Its free.
Cant seem to find the Illustrator pack, If you want them, I will try to compress myself and upload, problem is, you can only upload 500 somethink KILOBYTES of a ziped file on this site, so I would have to up it to another server and send the link to you.
