I was trying to think of using some clever halloween slogan to incorporate into marketing before halloween… might be too soon but want to put an expiration with it ending this month… Something using trick or treat with window cleaning…
Tell me how that turns out.
Man, I did do one several years ago but it was stuck on my last
computer (which took a dump).
I carried the Halloween theme all the way through. I went into how
their windows would scare people. hahaha
Sounds lame in that description, but I did it well.
I will dig around and see if I can find it in a file somewhere.
FOR SURE do a Halloween theme. Why not?
Yeah that sounds awesome!! Exactly what I’m trying to do… I must not be to creative though because I can’t get it down on paper…
I did not use any graphics. I basically did a flier in Word (my favorite for
fliers) and went to Kinko’s and printed them out on a light orange paper.
I think I got a 2% response
You can be creative as long as the creative stays focused.
Damn, I got to find that ad
You never use graphics in your fliers?
I do use color on shiny paper, I just don’t use generic graphics. (like
a picture of a house or a squeegee)
I have done many tests and I have never had full blown graphics
beat my basic flier (everything the same, minus the graphics)
I did get the same response using the graphics, but why waste
time on design?
Design is usually our interpretation of how people perceive us. We
think if it does not look glitzy people will think we are junk.
That information they pulled out of their azz.
I do add color and some graphic elements. I just did a white
flier with a brown coffee mug stain on it. At the top underneath
the headline I put "From the unorganized desk of Paul McQuillan"
to tie it in.
It is in the top 3 most successful ads I have done yet (for my company)
Most on here would fear looking like a slob instead of embrace the
reality… it got and kept their attention.
Sooo maybe I should get a white page with a brown stain and say from the dirty bathroom of Brandon Lukaszewski? Im sure that’ll get their attention hahaha!!
Ps… J/k
Well, as long as it keeps their attention and makes them take action
I have thought I might run an ad suggesting scheduling right after Halloween, mentioning that it’s time to bring down those cobwebs. This ad would need to happen pretty quick though or the opportunity will be gone. I hate to miss out due to procrastination. Like the time I thought about “MONICA BLEW IT” T-shirts. I bet I coulda sold a million of um.
