Handle Angle to Squeegee Channel

Found an old squeegee handle that had made a few years back.

Thought try it out with a squeegee channel always good to have spare handle.

So put a squeegee channel on the handle wet the glass and tried for a couple of minutes.

Started to get sharp pain in the hand elbow and up my arm!!

This has not happen for many years.

What we done next was put the original handle on the squeegee channel, beside the other handle which was still on.

Noticed the other handle was angled down more.

Making it awkward and painful to use the squeegee.

However the original one noticed the squeegee had a lesser angle.

Letting you hold and use the squeegee in a more natural way.

Has anybody else noticed this with there squeegee handles?

I noticed years ago that different brands have a different handle angle coming off the channel. Ettore has the the smallest angle which puts the channel closest to the glass. You can tell when you close out the window, the handle wants to catch the frame catches the frame. Unger has a very large angle so if you are too close to the glass with the handle water can escape from under the squeegee. This can happen on high pole work when the pole flexes placing the handle closer to the glass. $orbo handles have an angle in between ettore and unger which is a good balance.

The point trying to make is that in the way of holding your squeegee handles.

Do you find that over time using squeegee at certain angles to the squeegee channel

That makes it awkward to use and end up suffering pain in the arms and shoulders etc?
