They are just another tool. They still require competent rigging. CA chair work is limited to 120’. NYC chair work is limited to 75’. Blame the Unions and interested industry, i.e. barrier of entry, restriction of trade. I would equate these machines to the WFP of the high-rise world.

No I am not. I have been talking to one of their sales reps and she has been keeping me up to date with where they stand with getting Cal-Osha certified, basically saying the machine is safe to send over the side. The last time I spoke to her they had demoed the machine for Cal-Osha and it went well. She also said that they have a lot of companies on the interest list with some serious potential buyers, but everyone is waiting on Cal-Osha to go ahead and certify the machine and consider it safe as well as coming up with guidelines for the usage of the machine.
