How Are You Getting Reviews to Build your Online Reputation

I have been learning a lot lately about SEO and realize the importance online reviews have in order to increase your online reputation. I was told to ask for a review from customers at the completion of each job rather than wait for them to do it on their own if they choose. Is anyone building reviews this way?

For some reason I haven’t been doing as well with Google reviews as I have in the past. For now I’m using Demandforce for different things including reviews. The customer gets an email after the fact and can leave a review. In a little over a year, I’ve received 43, all good.
