How is everybody doing at this point in the year? I am 99% residential, btw. My May was great, June seemed a little slow but still more than May (but I add another guy in June, so I need more work) and I am starting to get a lull. Monday’s usually bring in 10+ bookings but today was only 5 and the weather is just starting to be consistently beautiful. But then again, last Friday we booked 5 and we usually never book on fridays. This year I hired 2 more employees which is a huge leap for me, but am digging it! It means spending more on ads, payroll, my infrastructure, etc. it’s been a wild 3rd year and we have doubled since last year, every month thus far. I’m literally putting any profit in my tax account and business this year to see what the new growth will look like come tax time.
Apparently everyone’s mid season is going so well they didn’t have time to answer this question 6 days ago. Lol
I’ve set several new personal records this season:
Highest gross per week: $3100 a few weeks back, then $3,300 a couple weeks later. That was with power washing and windows. Then last week set a record for highest gross for windows only, and highest average hourly for windows: $2,800, ~$93/hr.
And all this without killing myself. I think my largest week worked out to 35 hours of on-site labor, or 43-45-ish hours including travel and breaks.
I’m pretty stoked.
Sales up 17% or so - zero advertising
I have some lingering suspicions that concern me but
Maybe touched a ladder 5 days in 4 months
Took a vacation for a week and did not miss a beat
Getting work life balance. Maybe run bids on Saturday once a month
Been nice, heading in for 1.5 days of getting caught up and productive while it’s quiet
