Started in 99 working for a friend who owned an “all purpose” cleaning company.
Started in the office mailing letters to Contractors for full CC, windows and all.
My first experience with wc was doing cc. That was rough…
In about 6 months I was supervising wc, carpet cleaning, pw, cc. Learning as I went from the guys
I was supervising.
In mid 2010 my friend sold the biz and in October I left (got fired actually) and started my own window cleaning company.
Wish I had done it years earlier, but it took getting pushed to make it happen.
That’s a tough thing to do- manage a team for a task you’re not fully trained for, yourself. Thankfully it didn’t scare you off 
… It was rough. They all knew i didn’t know and yet i was supervising
and making more money than them. They were always pointing out my crappy windows.
