Bidding on a 4 story townhome. The owner told me previous window cleaners were able to do everything without ladders.
Playing around with the windows I was able to figure out how to get them open from the inside (pry bar and putty knife is what used).
My questions: what is this type of system on the window called (besides PIA )?I’ve never seen this before.
Second, what would you bid per window? I got them open but I wouldn’t call it a quick process.

Those look like Marvin’s. There’s a little lever on the front of the lock you pull on to release the lower sash. The upper sash has latches on top of the sash, near the side frames. Pull those toward the center of the window and they’ll release. No need for a putty knife or pry bar.
I’d price them the same as 1st floor double hungs. Maybe 1.5 floor if you find the tilt-in process a little more time consuming.

Wow, thank you! Yeah I actually thought the locks looked like they may hold the key to that but you know how it is with the owner standing right over your shoulder.
Thanks!
glad you got a good answer. personally i’d bid about $10,000 so i could be sure they’d hire someone else!

Maybe 12.00 per window …but I’m cheap.
