Ladder or ledger?

Using my windows as an example, how would you guys handle these windows? It’s about 15’ to the bottom ledge and the ledge is about 8” deep. To ladder or ledger…that is the question.

pole, angle adapter, exelerator with liquidator and fliq pad

Ladder up if you want the frames done right. If they don’t care about quality you can move faster with a pole and a ledger just cleaning the glass.

Bigger learning curve than a ledger, right?
And slower as well. Lots of fanning around and around with wagtail style squeegees. Ledgers are faster straight pulls which means BIGGER PROFITS. :sunglasses:

you can do straight pulls locked or unlocked.
you can fan if you want (better quality)
you can mop and instantly squeegee without lowering to change tool
very easy to learn especially if you are new
no detailing
you can run an unger channel if you prefer (no modding required)

it is more versatile than all the other tools i own combined

Ledger…save your back and legs. I wet the window, then I take a huck towel or chamois and hit the TOP sill-- then I stick-- ZERO run downs above, less detailing-- much faster.

I do that trick on ground level windows, I take a rag or chamois hit the corner and the top, then clean-- I deal with major, major humidity here-- this stops the bleeding and barely any detailing after.

Sounds like you’ve been around the block a few times. :sunglasses:

Thank you all for your insight and knowledge. I have my first window job coming up. It’s an up sell for pressure washing. It’s all exterior, 5 second story windows and 5 first floor, plus 2 sliding doors. I’ve been practicing on my own windows. I’m excited to get this started.
