Latest thoughts on the customer factor?

re qbo, BEWARE!!! quickbooks online has no way to transfer data to quickbooks desktop OR a lower version of qbo.
so be careful, now that i use tcf i really don’t need qbo and it would be cheaper for me to use qb desktop which i own or just give the tcf data to my accountant and let them finish everything.
when i signed on to qbo they had a special (they always have specials for new accounts) so i tooka jazzier version than i needed. my special is over and they boosted the price by 33% IN ONE YEAR!!!.
so i said well i’ll just downgrade then, sure they said "you can cancel your subcription and start a neww one for the lower version but all your data will need to be entered manually.
tcf at 34.95 for life with all features and unlimited users is best bargain on the planet.

I say the customer factor hands down.

House call pro is slick, and sometimes I wish TCF had some of its features. but the customer factor is much more relevant to my business. It pushes everything to quick books desktop. Quickbooks online is a ripoff, just read the post above for proof.

And TCF customer service can NOT be beat. Steve has helped me so much I should pay him much more than the asking price.

so i have been using the customer factor and i kinda feel lost with the software to be honest. I’m having a hard time getting it going so far. i think i am a person who likes the appearance of the software as well unfortunately and it doesn’t draw my in to want to use it. The layout is goofy for my brain so far. but i haven’t given up on it so far, i wanna give it a fair chance. plus i have spent days logging in my customers from my note book lists. did it take a while for you guys to get the hang of this software? the other thing is that i will be using my crm about %90 from my phone app and it is a little limited for what i need at the moment. i don’t really go home and log things on my computer at this point. so I’m having a hard time getting going with it.

pm me if you want. i’ll be back later. it’s worth getting to know it.

i felt and still feel the same way about qbo and also hcp, kickserve, service m8, schedulicity and every other one i tried.
i do scheduling to emailing invoice and collecting payment on phone with tcf.

I switched from Jobber to TCF. I thought the layout was pretty goofy too. There was definitely a bit of a learning curve. I took a weekend and just played with it; set up some test accounts and went through the whole process. Once I got the hang of it though, it’s really not bad. My one major complaint is that it can be kind of glitchy but when I run into a problem I just submit a support ticket and Steve takes care of it usually within a couple hours. Ive been using it for a couple months now, and over all I like it.

steve is very close to upgrades that will increase speed

Tcf is really good but I think jobber has more potential. It’s behind on features as it’s way younger but not that far behind. But even now the app is better. For me a mobile app so very important. I was originally attracted to tcf from this forum but I found its work flow less friendly. I see a lot of screens have expanders when it should have tabs,(so annoying) the ui is less initiative and less attractive. I like jobbers employee timesheets and timers which are non existent on tcf. I know tcf has a lot of good features but customer service is spotty for me. No response to emails or calls. No on boarding program. Maybe Steve plays favorites who knows.
Jobber will get there. Millions from investors who want results. It certainly updates a lot. Also the price is great and won’t be changing any time soon. My price is locked. Tcf is cheaper and it looks it. I’ll follow the money.

Tcf has a lot of cool features but personally id rather invest in jobber as they too are constantly updating and receptive to suggestions and simply put they seem to be more aggressive about improving and pleasing users (from my experience) as u see with their UI design. They are a little more expensive but I personally think all most crm options are cheap for what you get in productivity. I’ve been watching these two over the last few years and I’m confident they are both viable options each having their advantages.

last year when i evaluated jobber i could not do enough on the phone app. it was really set up for an office person to handle job scheduling and i do much of that in the field. that is the same reason i had to rule out tcf, hcp and many others.
the phone app and upgrades tcf has brought out this year made it the absolute top choice for me.
i don’t use the employee section but it does have employee and crew management and every job has a timer for travel and job duration.
just looked at the employee add function and there are numerous choices for tracking pay, hourly, commission, combos etc.
