Low E Coating

You might be able to take a 1in razor blade, start on the corner, then (using your fingers) slowly peel back the sticker. If you do it carefully enough, it should work. Goo- Gone is great stuff too.

Hey, Low-e is always on surface #3 from the outside in. Those stickers are for the glaziers who are installing so that all units look the same from in and outside of the building. You as a window washer will not damage nor be able to touch the low-e coating. Have no fear. When cleaning those off as I have done for over a decade now you can use anything from window cleaner to goof-off, goo be gone or denatured alcohol or just plain soap and water as one suggested above. letting it set for a few minutes to soak in is great advice breaks down the paper product. Then use a sharp (New) razor blade and at a 30 to 45 degree agles gentle remove the sticker and re-spray before going at it again and clean the blade and off it comes flawlessly. Hope that helps. “T” PremierGlassGR

So just to be clear, is the consensus that a window cleaner will never contact a Low E coating on the surface of the glass unless it is a factory mistake? Neither on the indoor side of the window or the exterior side?
