Need advice

Hi, I have been in the business since 1999. We have always provided window cleaning and pressure washing services. Although we have made good money pressure washing, I would at this point like to cut back on offering this service, and concentrate mainly on window cleaning and our dryer vent cleaning services. I am 43 yrs old, and many of the houses I clean in the beach resort community I service are hard and labor intensive to clean-- physically it’s geting hard for me. Also, tired of dealing with equipment issues. For the companies who only provide window cleaning services, how do you compete with companies who offer window cleaning and pressure washing making it a one stop shopping type service for the customer? Do you have pressure washing only companies you work with? I am at a crossroad in my life and need to change direction, not only in my work but my life.
Thanks and peace,
Mark

Although we offer multiple services, PW, WC, gutters etc… I have thought about doing just windows. I think you could get by just fine as a window cleaner only. I think most customers are surprised that we do both PW and WC so you could get a way with it easily. You could bill yourself as the “window master” - not the jack of all trades, master of none.

Chris,

I’m currently thinking about getting into pressure washing since so many of my WC customers have been asking about it recently. Can you explain why you have thought about giving the pressure washing up? I would appreciate it?
