But, there is a lot more info here on this forum!
Hey Doug,
Iām thinking of starting a new thread. To fly solo of hire a crew. Which is better? Maybe you should start the thread.
Hey Mike,
Maybe you should start a pole or just a new thread
Maybe flying sole or crews
or flying solo vs. crews.
I 100% agree.
so youāve made yourself a job.
Ya, some people call it owning a job. But itās a great job!
that it is
It is a pain and it does cost a lot of $⦠BUT it needs to be done.
If you were to look at a revenue graph of our year the peak and valleys mirrors a graph of the # of people we have on staff.
We do have a high turnover rate because:
Its a real tough job with long hours, but mainly because of the seasonality of the business. In the spring we need 50 people need in the winter we could only need 15.
We do 2 main hireās a year.
1 in the spring, another in the fall for gutter cleaning season. Once the summer hits we usually have to lay people off but when its busy again in the fall most of the summer layoffs would have found other jobs by then.
So its a vicious cycle of hireās and fires. There are a couple other smaller hireās through out the year. If someones not pulling there weight I let them go and someone needs to fill there space.
