Ok, so if it is not a surfactant (soap) what is cleaning the windows? If you don’t have a surfactant of some kind, you won’t get windows clean enough to even see a shine…
Why do you tease us so Local Scottsman? Dangling a juicy window cleaning carrot in front of our eager noses then snatching it away
I’m beginning to think that the guys who use Dawn are the smart ones. Their customers windows need to be cleaned every week and they have four times as much business as all the smartie pants using Ecover.
You lost me at surfactant
Mike they may have four times the business! but they sure as hell are not earning four times as much!
Hmmm… Dawn seems to do the trick, at least for a year or more. My annual cleanings look just fine.
You’re right, I’m earning 5-6 times as much by not spending all my money on foo-foo soaps
Chris
If I use foo foo soap, does that make me a foo foo window cleaner?
Not a foo foo window cleaner, just one foo… you can’t afford the second foo cuz you spent it on foo foo soap
Here a foo, there a foo, everywhere a foo foo.
as the teams come out on the field today for the annual soap cup … its ecover wearing white this year and dawn is wearing a slight blueish grey… the Referee blows his Pipe …
" and we are off… its dawn now slightly taking the lead. with 1-0 great shot . there from dawn. who apparently has taken the lead because its slightly cheaper than Ecover … any way Ecover has come right back into the game ladies and gentleman. its now 1-1 and Ecover has got a goal back with a very convincing adavantage and that is its the best soap on earth for streak free performance… they should have got 2 goals for that but 1 will do… any way the game continues . and yes Ecover scores another fantastic goal. this time due to its health advantages . yes ecover goes to 2-1 with a fabulous strike there. Ecover contains no petro chemicals like its poorer sister dawn ( )… well great stuff from Ecover. by jolly old chap. this Ecover stuff is really quite good…and its back to the game… and its now 2-2 Dawn scoring an own goal ladies and gentleman YES dawn getting a goal back from an own goal form Ecover… Dawn can cause much quicker resoiling and there fore you might lose 30 $ a year because tight fisted annie Mc Cheap might have noticed the difference there… so the own goal has been given albeit with furious complaints from the Ecover Team …
and as we enter the last phase of the annual soap match its a thrilling 2-2 … and with just minutes to go Ecover scores a late and fantastic goal making it 3-2 to Ecover…The low sudding ,the glide, the ability to use a larger squeegee, the saving of 10 % working time… the kindness to your hands. the ability to use it when the sun is shining and when the heating is on, the ability to save you money on your squeegee rubber costs…Great game it was . but Ecover just thrashed the hell out of dawn…in the end showed its true Class.
Holy ecover bubbles! This game is better than my favorite, hide the pickle.
You guys are cracking me up! You have me scouring the house for this legendary soap of the gods. I’ve found Ecover Stain remover, Ecover Floor Cleaner, but dang nabbit our dish soap right now is Mrs. Myers whole orange embellished w/ cloves. Hmm, maybe a Mrs. Myers mix in the making?
We’re using ecover now but have had a couple issues which the guys solved yesterday with adding 3 teardrops of something. Talk about a secret mixture
I’m an Econvert now, but I think the hype is greater than the results.
Its a good soap, but the only difference I really see is in the amount of detailing, which is slightly lower compared to Dawn.
Eh, either way, it smells good, so I’ll keep using it lol
Ecover for me here too. It is a great soap.
Just don’t know what to do with 3 gallons of GG4 I have in a garage. lol
Ecover has taken over from W5 now for me and my gang . it really is good in every way
Use them to do dishes.
Hmmm, Thanks, but I use Ecover for dishes too.
…“could mean the end for ecover” also means “might not be the end”. Maybe testing first then posting results and formula next might be a better way to go about it.
Since this post is getting pretty old with substantial time for “testing” I’m going to guess it’s not the end for Ecover. I’ve switched to Ecover and do like it better than Dawn. And it’s pretty darn cheap, … just sold at the foo foo stores. Just the smell of salmon chowder and fresh seafood at Whole Foods is worth that trip.
