I’ll be representing WCR at the New Orleans pressure washing event this weekend, August 1st and 2nd.
I’ll be giving a presentation about water fed poles and pure water.
I’m just finishing the power point, and I’d like to know if there’s anything that you wished you knew from the start - anything related to cleaning windows with the WFP and Pure Water that you had to learn the hard way.
I’ve got the major basics covered, but I’m sure some of you guys have some knowledge that I may have missed.
I am going to include a little bit about Fab. Debris, just because I think it would be a huge failure on my part to talk for 30-45 minutes about window cleaning and not bring the subject up.
Lol, I can’t say that there Carlos… There’s gonna be guys that are bigger then me there…
Internal problems? I’m not sure I understand
Thanks for the encouragement.
And yeah Tony, I wish I coulda went to Iowa to see how you handled the Fab. Debris issue. I’m just going to give them a crash course on it, explain how important it is, and see how they react - I’m not sure how many of these guys actually clean windows, so I don’t want to waste time… I’m def. going to give them the links to the sites where they can learn more about it if they are concerned… WCR!
I simply used the MWCoA FD handout from the site and a card w/ the links to the WCR homepage and WCR FD page. Went over the facts and then let them ask questions. You’ll do great!
I am sure you will cover it, but I wish I would have known about how to properly rinse the window. The caulking holding all that soap and dirt spotting up the windows turned a one day job into 3 because of me not knowing about that when I started.
Wow guys, Thad put on a great show. Everything from marketing, roof cleaning, pressure washing and window cleaning was talked about. There was about 30 (rough guess) in attendance.
The networking and food were awesome too. Thanks Thad!
Carlos, I hope your internal problem is better.
You definitely aren’t the only one who feels that “pressure washers are not allowed to clean windows, but WC’ers can pressure wash” as Micah and I found out.
Thanks to all that attended and participated in NOLA 2009.
I have been overwhelmed by the positive response and kind words from the guys and girls who made this event happen.
I personally feel that this was the best RT I ever attended. Not because of anything that I personally did, but because of the quality of the presentations and the participation and camaraderie of all in attendance. I felt that it went off nearly flawless, last minute cancellations (or lack of) notwithstanding. I enjoyed and benefited from every single presentation and that is a first for me. I hope every one else benefited, too.
Big thanks to WCR and Micah Kommers for making the WFP segment happen. I saw a lot of people writing down WindowCleaningResource.com in their notes and Micah and I both let them know that this was pretty much the only BS-free forum for window cleaning and the best supplier in the business.
We also had the best lunch in the history of RTs, IMHO. I can’t take credit for cooking it but at least gimme credit for picking the restaurant.
I think that the internal problem thing was a misunderstanding, I was refering to the whole thing that was going on PWI Between the UAMCC and Ron. Then you and Kory having an event the same day, so the bottom line is that everything was kinda crazy. But I’m glad that it was a success, I didn’t expect nothing less coming from you.
About the PW’ers and WC’ers … obviously a joke, the money is there, so let’s take it
I promise that I’ll be there next year if I’m still alive ( and in TX)
Thanks, Tony.
Can’t wait to do it again next year.
Carlos, the Ron vs. UAMCC thing had nothing to do with the NOLA event and I can’t control it if someone schedules something the same day that I did. Really not sure why that made a difference but you missed a good one.
