Dont waste your time .Give them a ballpark figure for sq, ft of house and give them eaxct price when you get there.They either have money or not.
This is why everyone has to try and price via the confines of your own home. Imagine the time wasted with this. Yes , I know you could try and sell him on other things , 2 out of 15 times that might work. Spare me !
First thing I tell them is I try to price everything via Google earth , if anything maybe I need a picture or two from you is that ok ? They always say yes , once in awhile you get. I’d prefer I show you things. Sometimes it’s almost impossible to price without going there. Which is no problem I just go, but that’s only if it’s anything over 500.00. Anything under I’ll just guess if I can’t see it good enough.
Always have your estimates written out properly. Tell them what’s included and what’s not.
When they say you don’t come out for estimates. I say not if I don’t have too.
Waste of time going to do estimates. Give then asn range of of price with certain sq, footage of house and also find out if 2 story. EX. 18 -2500 sq,ft. 1 story $425- $525. They either have the money or not. Give them exact price before to do work that day. I can make min.$150 -250 /hr. in houses.
