When I have a job that is difficult I try to keep expectations low. I show them the problems and try to be honest with them. Also if they are really bad after I do one window I say is this okay or would you like to spend more and have them perfect. Most like the job I do and forgo any upcharge. To be honest I have very few “bad” customers.
I have noticed one particular group of people picky no matter what, anybody else find any particular type of people very difficult to work for.
Who is that group?

My mother has OCD I clean her windows…everyone else is easy…
Just had a customer call other day requesting a THIRD touch up visit. She says pressure washing left water stains in the top corners(thought we hit those on second visit). She says we’ll have to make sure we come early in the morning when the sun shines in because that’s the only time they can be seen.

I used to hate the complainers. In a weird zen way I’ve come to like them. They are a challenge for me. If I can handle them correctly then I can handle anything.
And I always assume a new customer is a whiny baby.
Awesome viewpoint!

Customers who cancel their appointment at last minute, then call back a couple weeks later expecting to get them in last minute.
Customers who do not pay. Small $150 job completed May 15th , half paid within thirty days, other half not available until Sept 3rd.
Customers who change their mind while service is being completed, Ex: just windows turns into screens, turns into pressure washing, turns into talking your ear off for 30 min. when comes time to pay bill, Why so much?
awesome. that’s good stuff dave. thanks.
