Pricing new pella windows

I am doing a construction clean up on a 11,000 sf home with about 80 pella windows. You have 4 sliders to unseal the lock and then you have to take the inside shade out to clean the two inside panels. It is taking me twice as long with the inside so I am wondering what a fair price would be. Looking to be a consistent job.

thanks!

Construction cleans I’ve had with pellas didn’t require any cleaning in between. But if they ever did I would charge at least double my rates for those windows.

I’d charge at least 3 times my regular price on a CCU and 2 times for a regular clean. They are a huge pain!

I agree, try to stay away from cleaning the insides that often. On NCCU, Just offer the cleaning without the “in between” and then offer a separate price for cleaning in between if it needs it.

For a window like this:

Pella double hung with swing open panels, between the glass shades, and muntins, we charge $15 per window on a normal clean (ins/outs, incl. storms) and add 30% for NCCU, so $19-$21 per window.

I know a lot of people say double or triple for NCCU but, that’s just not realistic for my area. I did a whole house of the these the other day and it was $520. I can’t see charging $1000 - $1500 for a NCCU and getting the contractor to go for it. He balked at $520 until I told him that I was giving him $120 off regular price because of the volume that we do for him.

I also told him to quit putting these windows in his custom homes and they wouldn’t cost so much to clean, but he didn’t want to hear it because he thinks they are the best money can buy.

It ended being about $24 a window. Everyone had 2 to 4 sliders to break the seal, which didn’t always work. Windows were stained after put in. The insides took about two thirds of the time with opening, removing shade, fitting inside, putting shade back on right window, and finally seal shut again.

Thanks for the help everyone

What does NCCU stand for? I’m assuming CCU is construction clean up, what does the n stand for?

New Construction Clean Up

It is the worst when the contractors leave the inserts in the garage for three months, then expect you to clean them and then put them in. Does Pella still offer the LOW-E coating. I wake up in cold sweats just thinking about Pella construction clean ups.

I am not a fan of these new style Pellas! Between our dry climate and the moronic painters that paint the frames of the in between and then close the window to paint the outside drive me nuts. 90% of the time I get these they are jacked from the get go. Most I can’t even get open. when I do clean them I normally start at $14 for a strait clean and double for NCCU. I will also raise the prices a bit if I have to fight the window to get it open.
