Property Managers Quote Request

Hey Guys,

I was hoping to get some tips on how to put together a professional quote. I just received a quote request on a big strata complex (this would be my first). I am not sure how to put a good quote together. The council member was mentioning to include things like scope of work and recommendations and things. I dont want to look like an idiot giving them a scrap peice of paper with a price on it  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Make a packet for them. The scope of work is just a page detailing exactly what you are going to be doing for them, what equipment will be used (rentals etc.) and usually a time frame for completion of the job (over estimate the time if its your first time on the job). Recommendations are usually things you see that need to be changed or done so you can do the work more efficiently- or safety concerns that need to be addressed before any work is done, it can also be to notify tenants, or parking space closure, road closure and traffic control etc…
So, since you have to do a packet, try and wow them. Remember that everything is marketing. Make it look good. Make a cover sheet, table of contents, include your estimate, msds sheets, with a written hazzard communication program (might have one here on the downloads section), scope of work, recommendations, and a rundown about your company and what you do.

I have dedicated my life to this type of business. All the above is great advice. Lots of tips and tricks that will help you in these posts. Keep the proposal simple, they like to see it from a budget stand point. Have a Summary availiable if your bidding more than one property. They like that as a quick reference sheet.

Allow them to tell you what they want and give them nothing more, if you think they might need something else make a separate proposal only as a suggestions do not include in what they requested.

Not sure if you are using wcing software but some have a template for overview and estimate. Also you could find one on the internet. You also might check some of the templates that are on WCR business forms. You can download them if you donate a form.
