Questions for a former Angie's List Employee turned Window Cleaner

I have ran 3 Big Deals so far. I always tell myself to take the good with the bad. Yea sometimes some of them suck and they take longer then they should of. But for the most part the customers are so happy and they might refer you to someone you would have never met had you not done the big deal.

The other side is the people who you would never expect to purchase a deal like the woman with 50+ windows who purchased at 15 window deal and wants all her windows cleaned. And the person who wanted their home cleaned and then finding out they have a 6000 sq ft home underneath their home. (Google Las Vegas underground house)

I will continue to run them in the future to help fill my schedule. PM me if anyone has any specific questions and I will try and help.

I have to say, as much of an anti-Angieslist person as I am becoming, you are correct about that.

I am pretty middle of the road with Angies List don’t love them don’t hate them but for me the do serve a purpose and they at least get me my advertising costs back.

True. I just think their commission is ridiculous. 35-50%?! I want to profit from my work, not break even. But, as said before, you do get in front of people and the upsells/additional work CAN make it worthwhile.

I still want to hear about actual ADVERTISING ROI. (Not “big deals”, but actual paid advertising for the online and print magazine)
