Rain rain go away come back in the dam winter. 5 days of this crap and it now looks like its rolling into the weekend. My phone has rang like crazy this week for the blue hair reschedules of which I have no time to fit them in. Man 1 week is killing my schedule. I have tried to get the customers to let me come and clean but it’s just not working for them.
I got one job out of the way today and as soon as I got home it rained. I was just waiting for the call but still no ringy so that’s good.
Hey - I wasn’t sure Ray, didn’t want to make boo-boo thinking that was what you were actually saying - made me laugh though
In the UK they are referred to as the “blue rinse brigade.”
I feel your pain. WE have had some sort of rain over the last 10 days. Ground is so saturated cant even mow my yard. had a few afternoons or mornings with no rain. trying to keep things on track.
Cool, I was just wondering. My guys started to complain about it so I bought them rain coats and rain pants. Here it seems like it only rains for about 5 mins at a time so it no biggie for me. I don’t think I could stand the amount of rain you guys have.
Now you guys in the NE know what us WCers in the Mid & South West have been dealing with. No rain now, just hot and humid. Sorry if I wished it would go away, I didn’t mean for it to go there. Hey I got tons of gutter cleaning jobs lined up from it.
After I completed the house today it got a little sunny and then the humidity spiked. I walked outside for something and was like OH GOD THAT’S RIGHT. NEXT MONTH IS HUMID MONTH GREAT!!!. My pits started leaking about 1 min out the door and I started to get cranky lol. I’ll work in the rain if the customer lets me. But as much as I tell them it can be done, they are not buying it. I have even told customers while on the phone and it was raining. Look at your windows, do you see any rain on them? In most cases the rain is blocked out by the roof over hang anyway. But still they just wont go for it. Ah oh well. I’m moving my business away from the blue hairs anyway they are becoming a PITA. It’s like they think I am their personal window cleaner and can drop everything just for their job. The sooner I can make it to mid-rise only the better. Nice thing is the wifey just got a job yesterday for a property management company who manage beach homes in LBI. So we see how it goes. I told her, 2 months in that job and you get me all the glass for every property they have or I take the belt off when you get home lol. Just kidding guys. I’ll have it off before she gets home lol.
Friggin 40 year flood here also. I’ve managed to sneak in some work this week also but have had to reschedule the lion’s share of it. It makes the pack schedule of the next month an illusion. That money flew out the door on that rainy day and will never fly back in. I can’t whine to much because many are without jobs and homes during times like these and I’m just chugging along.
We are booked solid out to June 9th including Saturdays. Some of that is over flow due to rain. Our policy for residential is to not clean the glass when it is raining. I’ve tried to tell my customers " its gonna rain sometime".
We don’t look at it as money lost, just money postponed.
LOLOL. No she would have to charge $2.99 per min to view it lol. I know times are hard for everyone so I figured it would be best to not webcam it lol.
Yeah it’s nice. You get a 50/50 there though. 1/2 the homes have storms and the other don’t. I love the ones with the casements. Big money and easy easy pickens with the WFP. Open the window, push out the clip, crank a little more and you have access to both sides of the glass with no problems. But still because of the ocean you can only do so much. I have a client who replaced all his windows about 5 years ago on the east side of the home. When I cleaned that last year they were all pitted something nasty. Like they were sand blasted. But hey I’ll take an ocean front home with sand blasted windows anyday :). Only thing that stinks about the area is its often hard to see the sun sometimes with all those plastic surgery noses in the way.
